4.Describe David's and Harold’s relationship.
Even though David and Herold didn't really talk David had a lot of respect for him.
5.What is David's child fantasy?
David's child fantasy was to build a log cabin at the russian river.
6.Who is Dr. Robertson? Tell me how he treats David?
Dr. Robertson is David's new psychiatrist, he treats David like a real person.
7.Do you think going to see Doc will help him? Why or why not? Can you relate?
Yea, i think it will help David because it helps to talk about it.
8.Is there anything in this chapter that is similar to your life? How?
Yea, like David I used to go to a shrink, but I hated it.
9.Why do you think David’s speech problem disappeared?
Alice tought David to think before he said anything, and David soon realized that within a few weeks his speech problem had disappeared
10.What kind of mom is Alice to David? Tell me a few things she does for him.
Alice is more like a friend mom, they are always talking and going to the movies and she gives David presents.
11.David is changing, describe how he is changing. What is the most important gift he has received. It was one last chance at being a kid.
12.What do you think David fears, why?
David fears being alone ini the world, because of what he had to deal with as a kid.
13.What was so different about him and the other students
The other students were rich, and they were going to hawaii and disneyland for graduation.
14.What did David want to learn so badly? Why?
David wanted to learn how to cook, because he was almosat 16.
15.What happened to cause David back at juvenile hall?
He asked alice if the new boys would leave, and if not he would leave, David ended up leaving.
16.Who are David's new family? Describe the new neighborhood the family moved to.
He lives with John and linda, they are laid back and chill, David moved into a rich neighborhood nice lawns and mini mansions.
17.Who are David's new friends?
Paul Brazell and Dave Howard, two neighborhoood teenagers.
18.What do you think of the lady that jabbed her finger at David? What did she say to him?
I think the lady was really rude, she said a lot of ignorant things about David.
19.Who are the Marshes?
The marshes were David's neighbors.
20.What was stay like at Walshes. What did he do to protect the youngest kids?
It was not so good, raging arguments were a daily occurence, and at times both of them would storm out of the house and leave David to atch their children.

CHAPTER 8

  1. How was David treated once back with his foster family? When David was back from juvenile detention all the other foster kids were eying him with suspicion.
  2. Why did Gordon visit him? How did he react to the idea? Gordon went to visit him because he was going to take David to a knew foster home. David felt a surge of excitement.
  3. What were the 2 ultimate rules for being a foster child? The two ultimate rules for being a foster child are; do not get attached, and never take anyones home for granted.
  4. What problem did Gordon face? The problem that Gordon faced was he had trouble finding him a home.
  5. What did Gordon do when he meant desperate times calls for desperate measures? That he would have to find any foster home for David on a late notice.
  6. What does David compare Gordon to? David compares Gordon to have a chameleon-personality.
  7. Who were David’s new family? David's new family were the Noll's family.
  8. Describe what his “ new” foster mom was like? David's new foster mom treated David like a toy doll and she wanted to wash his hair.
  9. Describe a day at Ms. Nulls house, what did David do all day? David was bored at Mrs. Nulls house, he would just wonder around or color in his coloring book.
  10. What was happening with Joanne & Michael? Joanne and Michael were getting a divorce.
  11. How many homes have David been in so far? So far, David has been in three homes.
  12. What was different about his 2nd new foster family? David's second new foster home was different for him because his new family were African American.
  13. What order did Gordon give David before leaving Vera’s house? Gordon told David to stay away from his mother.
  14. How many foster teens lived with Vera? Seven foster teens live with Vera.
  15. What was the family environment like? The family's environment was was a good one.
  16. Describe Jody. Jody chuckled like Santa Clause and everyone competed for his attention.
  17. Who is David’s new BFF? Describe him David's new David's new BFF was a Mexican boy, who didn't know how to speak English.
  18. Who does David run into at school? Describe How was he? David runs into his brother Russel , he has bruises on his arms and has thin clothes and he is really skinny.
  19. Why do you think David is so concerned about his real mom? I think Davis is more concerned about his real mother because Russel said the home was worse than ever.
  20. At school who did David see behind Russell? At school David saw his real mother behind Russel.
  21. What was Jody accused of? Jody was accused of statutory rape.
  22. What happened to all the kids? All the Kids had to pack there things, because they were going to get sent to different foster homes.
  23. Where does David end up with? David ends up with Alice Turnbough.
