CHAPTER1&CHAPTER2 questions

Chapter 1:The rescue
1.Describe the setting of the story.
In the beginning the setting of the story is he is doing his chores before going to school.
2.Describe how mother is? What kind of character is she?
David's mother is very strict and evil and abusive; her charcter is she seems like she does'nt care.
3.Provide 2 examples of how her character is.
"Her once beautiful, shiny hair is now frazstuper, she wears no make up, and she is overweight"
4.How is he treated in school? Who takes care of him?
At school he is treated with pitty, the nurse takes care of him, and so do the teachers.
5.Describe his appearance.
His long sleeve shirt has more holes than swiss cheese, it's the same shirt he has worn for the past 2 years, his pants are the same, and his shoes have big holes on them.
6.How is the police involved?
The police is involed because he is the one who takes David out of the city.
Chapter 2: Good times
1.What does he compare his family to, why?
David compares his family to the brady bunch, he has the perfect parents, and their every whim is fullfilled with love.
2.list each character and a few sentences on each person
Father:Stephen Joseph, worked as a fireman; her was five feet ten inches tall and he weighed about 190 pounds, he had broad shoulders, his thick black eyebrows matched his hair.
Mother:Catherine Roerva, was a woman of average size and appearance; she had good determenation, she loved her children.
3.P. 19 “with mom everyhting turned to gold.” what does he mean by this quote?
By that quote he ment that his mom cleaned the house too good.
4.Describe What is Christmas like at the house?
Christmas at the house was full of decorations and bright lights.
5.What does he mean when he says, “ everyday seemed sprinkled with magic?
When he says that he feels that everyday seemed sprinkled with magic it was becuase everyday was so special, his parents always did somthing to make it extra special it was like magic.
P. 26.Where does he feel the safe and warm?
David feels safe and warm in his mothers arms.
